The short version

Romanize does its conversion work entirely in your browser. The numbers and numerals you type into the converter are processed on your device and are never sent to us or to anyone else. There are no accounts and no sign up. Like most free websites, the site may show advertising and use analytics to keep the lights on; this page explains how that works.

What stays on your device

Advertising

Romanize may show ads served by third-party advertising networks such as Google AdSense or Ezoic. These networks can set cookies or use similar technology in your browser to measure ad performance and, where permitted, to personalize which ads you see. We do not control what an individual ad network collects; their own privacy policies describe that in detail.

If you are visiting from the EEA or the UK, you will be asked for your consent before any personalized ads or related cookies are set, through a consent banner shown on the site. You can decline and still use every tool and reference page in full.

Analytics

The site may use analytics to understand aggregate traffic, such as which pages are visited and roughly how many people visit, so we know what to improve. Analytics tools may use cookies or similar storage. They do not receive the numbers or numerals you type into the converter.

Local storage

Your light or dark theme preference is kept in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it on your next visit. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Third-party embeds

When you embed the converter on another site using our widget, it runs the same client-side code and does not transmit the host page's data back to us.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will be updated. Material changes, such as adding a new type of ad network, will be noted on this page.
